directed 23 films among 40 of collection RÉVÉLATIONS for SAMSUNG, from masterpieces by most famous painters. Jean-Jacques BIRGÉ was their artistic director and composed music and sound scores, Dominique PLAYOUST was the producer, Sonia CRUCHON the assistant, Luis BELHAOUARI the historical adviser, SNARX-FX took care of all post-production (digitilization, Flame, 3D, etc.). An exhibition took place at Petit Palais in Paris in September-October 2010. Vincent SEGAL composed for The Grande Odalisque, Birgé cosigned with him music for Fra Angelico, Le Lorrain, Chirico, and Coucher de soleil à Lavacourt with Bernard VITET ; he took care of the other 15 scores, among which 2 films (Böcklin et Chardin) in 3D.

Birgé has been recording the English, American, German, Italian and Spanish versions of Nabaztag. Birgé has also designed the sound of two new objects by Violet, Mir:ror and Dal:dal.

With Wolf KA and instrument-maker Sylvain Ravasse, Birgé composes a symphonic poem for 100 bicycles.

Birgé and Schmitt have opened the 26th FIMAV (Victoriaville, Quebec) with Mascarade, their new live show for 2 news anchors.

Birgé has composed a "futuristic and cristal" electro-acoustic piece of a rain curtain for Peugeot RCZ in Frankfurt IAA (Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung) produced by Dalbin Events. INSTALLATIONS


Somnambules, created with Nicolas CLAUSS, has been shown as an installation at the Seoul Museum of Art during the 4th Seoul International Media Art Biennale (Media_City Seoul 2006 / from October 18th - December 10th) which theme is Dual Reality. Somnambules has also recently been shown on New Zeland TV3 and received the Coup de cœur SVM Mac.
Somnambules was exhibited at the Ars Electronica Museum of the Future (Austria), at Microwave International Media Art Festival (Hong Kong), at FILE 2004 in Sao Paulo (Brazil), at MAEM 2004 in Madrid and Universidad de Huelva (Spain), at Ars Numerica in Montbeliard and Rur@art in Rouille (France), at Festival NEMO (retrospective Birgé-Clauss)…

Les Portes is an immersive and interactive art installation by Birgé and Nicolas Clauss (Festival NEMO, Espace Paul Ricard, April 2006).

In 2003, MIO RECORDS reissued a double album including the famous record Défense de by BIRGÉ GORGÉ SHIROC (1975) as a CD (+ 4 unissued bonus tracks) together with a DVD including the first film by Jean-Jacques BIRGÉ and Bernard MOLLERAT La Nuit du Phoque (1974, 41 minutes, subtitles in English, French, Japanese, Hebrew) and 6h30mn by the same trio. La Guêpe, first LP by VITET under his own name (1971), has just been reissued as a CD by Gérard Terronès (Futura/Marge), with Jean-Paul Rondepierre, Jouk Minor, François Tusques, Beb Guérin, Jean Guérin, Françoise Achard, text by Francis Ponge.

Bernard Vitet is working on the CD issue of LP Mehr Licht ! (1979) including an unissued duo with Birgé.
MULTIMEDIA

Birgé has composed music and sounds for the site of the future Museum of Immigration (Hyptique), sound design for Petits Repères, children site of Marque Repere (SurLeToit.com), octophonic music for French Pavillion at Aïchi World Fair 2005, Japan (Dassault Systèmes).

Vincent SÉGAL (cello) and Jean-Jacques BIRGÉ (wireless electronics) have commented in words and music the exhibition Vinyl at La Maison Rouge in Paris on March 21 2010.

Concert as a trio with Donkey Monkey : Ève RISSER (piano, prepared piano, vocals, toys) and Yuko OSHIMA (drums, vocals, samplers, sound objets), plus Jean-Jacques BIRGÉ (synthesizers, virtual machines, Theremin, acoustic sounds) recorded live at Le Triton in March 2008 (Les Lilas).
Duo with Nicolas Clauss' interactive images at Theatre de l'Echangeur (Bagnolet), during the WormHoles directed by Didier Petit, has been a piece of cake !

A new version of SOMNAMBULES will be on tour with Clauss + Étienne Brunet (alto sax, ring modulator, bagpipes) and Éric Échampard (drums). Just contact us. Beginning of 2006, Birgé (music machines), Clauss (interactive images), Pascale LABBÉ (vocals) and Didier PETIT (cello) had created the first version of SOMNAMBULES, a live adaptation of Sarajevo Suite et Fin, White Vibes, La Photo, The Shower et Somnambules... Jean-Jacques Birgé has worked on the shooting and the editing of 22 ans plus tard... and Onboard, two new films by Françoise Romand which feature on new DVD Call Me Madame, to be issued in November 2008 (alibi). He also composed its sound and music score. English subtitles.

Order the reissue of the fisrt album of UN DRAME MUSICAL INSTANTANE, TROP D'ADRÉNALINE NUIT (cd GRRR 2024), with an unreleased bonus track, Sancta Papaverina. This great album, totally improvised, recorded in 1977, unavailable for the last 15 years, features the legendary trio, Birgé, Vitet and Gorgé.

The DVD 1+1, a natural history of sex , for which Jean-Jacques BIRGÉ has composed the music (feat.
