Marie-Jesus Diaz was born in Spain next to Bilbao in 1944. She is French and Spanish. She was employed for ten years as a photographer of theatre, reporter, black and white drawer, audiovisual director, and professional training in photography.
Her personal research is made up of series and since 2003 she has only been working in digital, shooting and printing.
In the 1970s-80s Jean-Jacques Birgé composed the music of many audiovisual works she made with her companion Michel Séméniako.
