Born in Angers in 1978. Nicolas obtained in 2003 his Prix de cor moderne au CNSMD de Lyon dans la classe de M. Garcin-Marrou and integrate shortly after the higher education of the Academies Musicales de Saintes where he studied with M. Maury. Since January 2004, he has participated in projects of ensembles specialized in the interpretation of music on the instruments of the period: the Little Symphony, the Lyric Talens (external link)The Circle of Harmony, The Matheus Ensemble (external link), the Musicians of the Louvre, the Florising Arts, Opéra Fuoco, Les Siècles, les Agrémens... He also pursued a chambrist activity with the Edding quartet, the Hoffmann quartet, the Philidor Ensemble. Passionate about improvisations and he invents at the beginning of the year 2001 the « cor spatialised" or "spat'", instrument from the copper family which allows to spatialize the sound. In 2003 it brought together a collective of Spatists: Spat'Sonore (external link). In 2023 he recorded vinyl Evidence (external link) with the Poudingue trio formed with Frédéric Minçon and Jean-Jacques Birgé. In 2026, he installed a spat' at Studio GRRR for a duo with Birgé.
