Pierre-Oscar Lévy

Pierre Oscar Lévy (born April 1, 1955) is a director and screenwriter.
Graduated from IDHEC in 1977 (section réalisation – montage), after forgetting the painting, and having been an editor, he has been a director since 1982, producer since 1989. A specialist in documentary film, he is the author of more than a hundred films with various subjects.
He directed subjects for the cult show Cinema, Cinemas Between 1986 and 1992. He produces, writes and produces Arte's scientific and technical show Archimedes1994-2003.
From 1979 to 1981, he worked as a journalist for the newspaper Le Monde and especially Le Quotidien de Paris.
He is also the author of the screenplay of a comic book, designed by Frederik Peeters, published in Switzerland by Atrabile editions, published in September 2010, Sand castle, which was awarded several times and adapted to cinema in 2021 under the title Old, directed by Mr. Night Shyamalan.The album was re-released on the occasion of the release of the film.
Jean-Jacques Birgé composed the music of several films by P.O.L. (A world in all its states,and seriesRevelations - Digital odyssey in paintingfor which Birgé is artistic director, etc.).
